Cyber vs. Real

In today's technology we see that it is developing fast. there are new things created that are to make life easier. As we have our lives easier we see that now everything is online. there are games online, we have online communities and there are websites that offer the opportunity for you to create your own life. but what is real and what is not?? do you ask yourself that whenever you add someone in facebook that that person is real?. Sometimes people get too caught up in their cyber life that they completely forget how to socialize in real life. I believe that as technology improves it just confuses people on what is real and what is not. People today spend more hours online than out there talking to real people and getting to know real people. I think that later on we are all just going to be home and we wont even have to go out. we will live our lives online. that is kind of scary for me. but i hope that doesn't happen.

Facebook.....an addiction or just a pastime?

Facebook has become the new thing today. How many hours do we spend on Facebook a day? isn't it a little addicting? In class the professor used the analogy that Facebook was like a casino and I do agree with that. It does get a little addicting to find out what others are doing and also the gossip that is going around. All the games in a casino are the news feed in Facebook and when you play in the casino you are writing comments and liking status in Facebook.

I mean I am not against that, I have a Facebook and I like being on it but i don't check it that often. Its good to have something to do when you are bored at a computer. Its good to know how your friends are feeling or what they are going through. I think it Facebook has both positive and negative features but I still enjoy being part of it! :)
